4 Sale
My CD Sales have exploded onto the Boise Music scene with a fizzle 😛 I have sold just a few copies.. But I guess that’s not really as bad as it feels since I haven’t played out since getting my CDs. I guess I just expected more of a demand from my friends at work. I really think if people were to hear it they would want it. So I need to take it on the road.
Open Mic
Pengilly’s last night had their weekly open mic.
It’s a relatively small bar downtown Boise. it has a lively crowd but sometimes they can be real chatty and it makes it hard to listen to the artists. But last night I really cut through that. It was amazing, I got on stage and everyone was yacking away. I must have caught their attention when I announced that I was going to do a Sinead O’Connor set and started playing “Black boys on Mopeds” It was eerie, The room fell silent. Not a glass clinked , nobody spoke at all. It was a rare musical moment. When I finished the crowd erupted into applause. I felt totally at home.

HELP!
Ok maybe not as urgent as the post title may seem but I am asking for your help.
I have been reading some Promotion advice on CD baby and it has me thinking about how to answer the question “What kind of music do you play?” As a musician I hear this question almost every time I meet someone. How can this question be answered in a way that will invoke enough curiosity for that person to want to explore my music?
So, What is the answer to that question? What could I tell you that would make you want to hear my music?
