Practice last night was a little rough. Recently I have been in a general state of fatigue, my voice didn’t hold out last night. I wanted to go through all the stuff we haven’t played lately and it was just too laborious. But on the positive side, my lack of vooice gave Tim a chance to work on his vocals and I, my strum stick. Proolly would have gone better with some whiskey.
Feeling like a fool
Brand new, fresh out of the oven. please excuse the roughness, this video is a recording of the first time this song was played start to finish.

Rocket Hub
I love making music, Playing it live, Recording Publishing… everything that goes with it. Working with promoters, building websites all of it. I also like the idea of bringing people into the process. That is why I was so excited when I heard about this website http://www.rockethub.com
It does just that. It allows a creative (that’s me) to bring people into their project. Gives fans friends supporters and families a way to be a part of what they are doing. To really contribute, not just in a monetary sense but in a real way. feedback is encouraged. start a conversation around a project, share with their friends on social networks. Unlike many project funding sites this site is a market place real rewards. It’s a 2 way street, Different levels of support get you different levels of rewards.
A goal based site, you project has a goal and a time limit if the goal is met then the project can go forward. If not all your supporters get their money back. so the motivation to be involved is there you tell your friends and more people fund the project the better your chance is to get your reward and the better chance the project has to become funded. everybody wins.
Found Money
I had a dream last night that I found a $20 bill on the street. I like found money (Duh) It makes me feel like the universe is giving me a nod, A little bonus 🙂
So heading down to the cafeteria this morning to get my coffee I’m checking my pockets for change and … Presto I find our old friend Mr. Jackson.
Thank you Universe

Evil Apple
Woke up this morning to a suprise. Nearly $400 in fraudulent purchases against my Itunes account.
Now did Apple steal my money? well no but they knew back in July that accounts were vulnerable. They knew who had autopayment options set up on their mobile devices. and they did nothing to notify specific users that they know are at risk. In the name of coorprate greed, Apple chose to keep their users at risk instead of notifying them. These accusations are my opinion. check these links for more info on this Evil behavior.

The dichotomy of the DIY musician
To be successful in being a DIY musician you must be succesful at “DIY” and at “musicianship” these two concepts are at constant odds with each other. Constantly fighting for your time and attention.
First let me define what I mean by being a DIY Musician. The goal for me is multi faceted.
- Create quality music
- Build a following
- Make music make money
- Enjoy myself
Problem is with all the time spent DIY there is little time left to create.
I guess the fun is in the journey
